About Rapha Workshop on Shame
Shame is one of the most pernicious feelings of our emotional palette. It blocks us from engaging life fully regardless of whether it is just or unjust. Shame is so often unnoticed, hidden, and frequently very toxic – in both men and women. It also tenaciously sticks to other feelings like anger, pain, and our tears. It often remains hidden until exposed by difficult situations in our lives. How do we rid ourselves of such toxic shame, or help others do so?
The simple answer is that Christ wants to take all our shame, whatever place it has in our lives. In our workshop Pastors Peter Holmes and Susan Williams will help us learn how to support those incapacitated by shame, and how to be free ourselves. Join us as we look Biblically and therapeutically at how to respond to healthy and unhealthy forms of shame.
Join us on Thursday, June 20th at The Commons for this evening workshop. Registration and refreshments open at 6pm and we will begin the workshop at 6:30pm.
